Halloween is still some months away, but here’s a great costume idea:

Drawing Henry #1

Today we begin a series of posts made possible by an anonymous English teacher residing in Japan. For one of his teaching exercises he asked his young students to draw a picture of Henry Rollins – a person they have never heard of or seen before. I’m not sure how the exercise works or how it qualifies as a teaching tool, but I sure love the outcome. Lil’ Japanese kiddies drawing Henry – how could you not?

For the next two months we’ll be posting the students drawings of Henry (we’ll post the usual silly stuff as well). A big thank you to the anonymous crazy man who kindly sent in these drawings. The names of the students have been removed. Let the fun begin!

Bandwidth Crisis Avoided!

Phew! We just made it to the end of the month without exceeding our bandwidth, but only just! When I started this blog last October I never expected it to receive this much traffic. I know Henry Rollins fans are a loyal and enthusiastic bunch (not to mention extremely funny, good looking and just generally the finest bunch of fanatics you could ever meet), but HelloHenry.com is gettin’ so much lovin that we’ve had to move hosts to accommodate the increasing googles and internets traffic.

We’re currently in the process of moving the blog to the new host. Please let me know if you come across a problem with the site due to the move. We’ll be returning to our regular programing next week. I can’t wait to unleash the next series of posts on you all, there’s some hilarious original and exclusive content heading your way very soon!

How d’ya like them Apples?

Ye olde advertisement for Apple’s PowerBook featuring Henry and president of Imago Records, Terry Ellis. Click image for bigger size. I suspect Henry made the similar face when he learnt Imago went bankrupt some years later. Thanks to Rollins Causes again for today’s post!
