    I can’t breathe!

Wish he still felt like doing that. From what he says at his shows he’s all but retired from enjoying sex.

you know if you ever want to see…um MORE of henry and lydia, you should find a dvd of Richard Kern’s films. i remember that after my ex-fiance and i saw his retrospective of disturbed shorts, we had…a really great night. thats all i’m gonna say.

  7. cherrycola says:

It’s just as good with the sound turned off. If not better.

    Re: sara

Oh yeah! Richard Kern is totally into bizzare and violent sex in his films. The full version of right side of my brain involves lydia and henry totally getting down and at somepoint jim thirwell gets involved. Arousing and beyond the pale at the same time.

I think RK’s dvd collection is called the hardcore collection. Long ago, a friend brought it over to watch with my fiance at the time and I. Some really out there stuff. And like I said when our friend went home…all bets were off with the ex and I. But still, its not for everybody.

    XD

I’m so bad. I just bought it on Half.com.

  12. guntattoogirl says:

Also, you can watch it on Amazon Video On Demand for $2.99. I think you can watch it for two weeks.

I’m going to be the dissenting crankypants here aren’t I?

I know how much we all love these old pictures of Henry with his big, dark, brooding, bedroom eyes and the long brunette hair that you just want to, well, depending on your proclivity, either run your fingers through or just grab a bunch of and ravish the boy.

Going past the OMG heavy duty creepy fucked up make out session and the ooh I’m chasing you wearing clothes that are far to big for my lithe frame I am more effected by the actual short film itself. Lydia Lunch’s overdubbed poetry is one thing…expressing well a somewhat common female conundrum of self worth and feminism at odds with more primitive desires to be dominated. Henry’s actions, on the other hand, seem to hit awfully close to home based on the dribs and drabs of information one can glean on his own childhood.

In that way, the film has it’s intended purpose…it makes me hurt.

Secondly, I thought I had seen the Hardcore Collection and don’t recall any extended version of this short film in it or that Henry was in any other part. Do any of you have any other information?

If you want to see Henry kiss someone one film and not have the uncomfortablility of this short…check out the opening to this old episode of Late World. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4-f8AWI0YM

Then tell me you wouldn’t pay cash money to be that woman. Though I must say, for only two on screen kisses (to my knowledge)…he seems to have the left hand cradle the side/back of the neck thing as a habit even 20 years apart…interesting.

  14. Indi says:

I also gotta add as a side note:

What, Henry Rollins only kisses girls in black and white?
    *snerk*

  15. Sara says:

I think it might just be my twisted head, but I like the way that the film makes me feel (besides what I feel from the creepy making out).

And YES, I would pay cash to be that woman(either of them, really). Name your price and find me a TARDIS and we’ll be good to go. :D

  16. Zander says:

I have the two disk DVD set of Richard Kern’s short films that this is included on… disturbing yet quite interesting! The photography included on it is curious as well. Anyone else’s thoughts?
