Hey folks. Where ever you are in the world you’ve probably heard about the bushfires in Victoria, Australia that have taken the lives of almost 200 people and left 5000 homeless. I know there are a lot of Aussie’s who frequent this blog, I hope you’re all safe.

Many years ago I spent some time in Marysville which is 95km east of Melbourne. The whole town has been completely destroyed by the fires. Only a few buildings are left standing. I know folk who’ve lost property and some whose property are still under threat. It’s hard to comprehend that it’s no longer there, it was truly one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Financial Donations
If it is within your means, please consider making a donation to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. Donations are accepted via credit card on their website, and all donations will go directly towards the appeal.

After four days our broadband connection has finally been restored. Frustrating to be offline for so long, but fun as well. It was a good opportunity to catch up on some reading and all those “off line” things I used to do.
