Sleep is for the weak!

Just a quickie. I did promise to post a tutorial on creating your own Rollins tee on Monday, but I’m completely wrecked from a serious stint of sleep deprivation and don’t have that open eyelids thing happening long enough to format the post. So that will be posted tomorrow instead.

If you missed out on a limited edition copy of A Preferred Blur, follow the comments on the previous post. Apparently Amazon is taking pre-orders. If your subscribed to Henry’s dispatches you will have heard that they are bringing forward the release of the regular edition so you can get your hands on a copy sooner rather than later.

A Preferred Blur Sold Out

Signed copies of ‘A Preferred Blur’ on pre-order are now sold out. Man, that was quick! For those of you hoping the economic crisis would slow sales and keep you in with a chance… you were wrong. OK hands up, who’s going without food this week so they could get the book?

If you missed out, don’t worry. Hello Henry will have a treat for you on Monday. You might remember the “In Henry We Trust” Henry Rollins stencil we posted a little while ago. Well Hello Henry reader, Kat, has been kind enough to write a tutorial, complete with photos, on how to make your own t-shirt using the stencil and some freezer paper. So look out for that on Monday and have a great weekend!

A Preferred Blur Available for Pre-Order

1ham25Henry Rollins latest book “A Preferred Blur’ is now available for pre-order at the official store. The first 1000 copies will be personally signed by Henry.

I’m curious to know whether the person who receives the 1000th copy will open the book to find an indecipherable scrawl. Signing your name 1000 times must surely be a test of hand muscle endurance. But you know Henry. He’s probably been on some intense diet and hand exercise regime for the past three weeks in preparation for this mammoth signing session. Even so, I’m tipping he starts cramping like a MF at #365.

So when you receive your signed copy of ‘A Preferred Blur’ next month,  spare a thought for Henry’s poor Abductor Pollicis Brevis.

Just a reminder for fans of Henry Rollins radio show Harmony In My Head. He begins broadcasting on KCRW 89.9FM today at 6pm. The show can be streamed from the KCRW website and a will also be available on the site for one week after it airs.

Rollins Bootleg Trades

Since I posted the Rollins Band bootleg the other day, a few people have wanted to know if I have the whole show and whether I do trades. The answer to both questions is YES. If you wanna trade, don’t leave a comment here, get in touch with me via my personal website.

I Am Not Henry Rollins

For the first time ever in the history of the Hello Henry blog, I’m starting to receive emails from people under the false impression that I am Henry Rollins. I have no idea why this is starting to happen all of a sudden. So let me set the record straight. I am not Henry Rollins. Never have been and never have claimed to be – the about page makes this clear (a fake Henry Rollins can be found here).

Yep, not Henry Rollins. Thank goodness!  I couldn’t handle that work schedule. I like sleep. I can’t stand listening to Dee Dee King and if Harmony In My Head were my radio show I would have played Thin Lizzy’s FIGHTING record in its entirety by now. Hungry Ghosts and Vernon Reid would have received a few spins too.
