I hurt from laughing so much. This is some dude called Pierre at a karaoke bar singing “Liar” by the Rollins Band.
I can not believe I forgot about this! While going through the goodies in my music collection yesterday I stumbled upon this gem. It’s a genuine bit of merchandise from Henry’s side project, Wartime, with bassist Andrew Weiss. The pair released an EP in 1990 called Fast Food For Thought picturing a brain inside hamburger packing on the cover, nice. I think I scored this button on eBay along with a Wartime promo photo. Have not seen one before or since. Sometimes you just get lucky.
While we’re on the subject of Wartime, here’s a video for “The Whole Truth” which I’m told is supposed to be a parody of a Madonna video, but I don’t know which one.
In my corner of the world, it’s a cold and foggy morning. But like a dedicated fanatic I hauled my ass out of bed to catch Harmony In My Head, only to find a replacement on the airwaves.
This is the show that was scheduled with the Double B as host!
This is the reason the show did not go ahead.
Poo!
Perhaps some of you guys might like to check out my new MP3 blog instead.
Staying fanatic in the face of frozen extremities…

Heidi May, friend of Henry Rollins and employee of the month, every month for the past 12 years at 2.13.61, had a band. They were called The Puppies. If you listen to Harmony In My Head you’ve probably heard Henry taunt Heidi by playing I’ll Kick Your Ass from her band’s 2001 release The Puppies USA.
The CD has received glowing reviews over at CD Baby, there’s a cool write up on it too. AND you can hear samples from record as well, go on over and check it out.
A week ago I put a call out for submissions to a new zine I’m working on called ‘Sex, Donuts & Rock n Roll’. Thanks to everyone who answered the call! Some people have requested more time to get their contributions done so I’m extending the deadline to Monday June 20. See the link to the previous post if you missed it and want the run down on what it’s all about. An update since that post, the debut issue may come with a cd sampler …. still figuring out the details on that though. Anyway, it’s gonna be awesome! Greg Sage is on the cover, how can it not be?
