I was having a conversation with someone I barely knew recently, just as I was thinking what a friendly, reasoned soul she was, she blurted out her disapproval of homosexuality. I felt like I had been transported to a different decade (or country)! When you’re surrounded by more progressive folks most of the time, sometimes you forget how the other half think.

Which brings us to the subject of today’s post. Henry Rollins’ latest piece at Vanity Fair. As usual, he has his unusual take on things, quite awesome!

Heidi May, friend of Henry Rollins and employee of the month, every month for the past 12 years at 2.13.61, had a band. They were called The Puppies. If you listen to Harmony In My Head you’ve probably heard Henry taunt Heidi by playing I’ll Kick Your Ass from her band’s 2001 release The Puppies USA.

The CD has received glowing reviews over at CD Baby, there’s a cool write up on it too. AND you can hear samples from record as well, go on over and check it out.

I’ve just been searching the internets looking for information for an upcoming post, and I came across this blog whose author has a pet rat named Henry Rollins Stumpy Butt. I’ve heard of people naming their pets after Rollins, but to add stumpy butt on the end.. that’s truly a stroke of genius. The rat even looks like Henry.. he’s small, grey and kinda cute.
