I’ve just learned that the website where the Team Rollins forum is hosted, Ning, will be ending its free forum service from July. They will be offering a paid service, however I am not prepared to pay $20 a month to keep it going. You may recall a little while ago that I canvassed the idea of setting up a new forum. Given the impending changes at Ning, it now seems that this would be a good idea. So I the coming months, I’ll be setting up a basic, self-hosted message board (using MyBB) on a new domain. It will be a simple forum to begin with. We’ll give it a bash and see how it goes. If it doesn’t work out, all it would have cost is the price of a domain name and some time. No dramas. If it goes well (which I think it will!) then we’ll have a sweet lil’ place for fans to hang and talk Rollins. To everyone who kindly volunteered to help moderate the new forum, I’ll be in touch in a few weeks or so to discuss this some more.

New interview with Henry Rollins at Music Vice in which Henry reveals one of his vices…. wait for it… cheese popcorn. Henry Rollins and cheese popcorn? Now that’s one paparazzi photo I’d like to see.

Hello Fanatics!
Four posts in one day, it’s a Hello Henry postin’ frenzy! I know things have been quiet around here and for that I do apologize. Thanks for all the emails. I’m replying and posting your goodies as quick as I can, please keep them coming. After running my business and conducting ground breaking PhD research (note the sarcasm folks) I’m pretty knackered by the end of the day. I hadn’t checked the Team Rollins forum for a while, it’s great to see so many new members, 83 in total now! There’s almost 80 photos in the Hello Henry Flickr Group too.
I don’t know about you guys but the Music Today website makes my web browser freeze up. Even though I was late to the game I was pleased to find signed copies of A Mad Dash still available. I just purchased mine. The whopping shipping fee hurt a bit though…
Now, what’s this I hear about a Nobel Prize for sex?

Support KCRW
Hey folks, I’m extremely sorry for the lack of posts lately. It’s been an adjustment going back to grad school. Hopefully I’ll have my schedule finely tuned soon and be able to pay more attention to Hello Henry. Thanks to everyone who has sent into post ideas. If I haven’t replied your to email, I’m not ignoring you! I will reply when I get the chance.
KCRW Pledge Drive
If you tuned into Henry’s radio show on Saturday you’ll know that it’s pledge time at KCRW. I know these pledge drives can be a bit annoying, but it’s better to have blanket coverage for two weeks than be asking for donations year round. What you might not know about pledge drives is that the number of donors who pledge during each show is noted (I’m not privi to how things work at KCRW, but that is the standard practice elsewhere). So if you enjoy Henry’s show, make a pledge during the next broadcast or request the Henry Rollins CD pack when you make your pledge. You can donate as little as $10 a month, and you don’t have to be a Los Angeles local or live in the States to join. $10 for eight hours of Harmony in My Head a month sounds like a good deal to me.
You can join KCRW by phone or online at KCRW.com. All the details are on the website.
Barred For Life
I recently learned about a cool new book in the works called Barred For Life. It’s about people inked with Black Flag’s infamous BARS logo. Starting in October the editors are going on tour to collect stories and take photos of anyone who is barred for life and keen to be part of the project.
Dates and photo shoot locations are currently being confirmed in the US, UK and Europe. Some dates and locations are yet to be worked out and the editors would appreciate hearing from anyone who could help in the following places in the US: Milwaukee, WI, Madison, WI, St. Louis, MO, Nashville, TN, Little Rock, AK, Plus France and Spain.
If you’re tattooed with the bars and/or could help out with the tour, check out this MySpace page for more info www.myspace.com/barredforlife.
HIMH No Show
In my corner of the world, it’s a cold and foggy morning. But like a dedicated fanatic I hauled my ass out of bed to catch Harmony In My Head, only to find a replacement on the airwaves.
This is the show that was scheduled with the Double B as host!
This is the reason the show did not go ahead.
Poo!
Perhaps some of you guys might like to check out my new MP3 blog instead.
Staying fanatic in the face of frozen extremities…
