Hmmm, not quite as tasty looking as this Black Flag soy dog lunch we posted earlier.
Enjoy your Sunday lunch.
Thanks to Gabe for this post.
Liar, John Howard Style.
The Rollins Band song Liar is the soundtrack to many a video uploaded on YouTube highlighting the ineptitude of some politician or another. It’s no surprise that the G.W.Bush loving Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard, has received the YouTube Liar treatment as well. After 11 years in office, today Australian voters go to the polls to boot him out. To mark this glorious occasion we bring you a video tribute to the soon to be former PM of Australia with Liar as the fitting soundtrack:
WWHRD?
WWHRD? was created by cartoonist Mitch Clem and is available on t-shirts and stickers at Silver Sprocket. It was inspired by two of Clem’s webcomics in his series Nothing Nice to Say WWHRD?#299 and WWHRD?#337. If you scroll down to the bottom of the Silver Sprocket merch page you’ll find a photo of Henry holding a WWHRD? sticker!
Cheers to Stuart for suggesting this post.
Another Aaron does Rollins
What is it with people called Aaron impersonating Henry Rollins? (see previous post). Here’s another one, aged three. “My 3 year old son is a punk fan who digs Henry Rollins.”
Rollins 2008
It was bound to happen sooner or later. Rollins 08 products have emerged on CafePress. Perhaps Christopher Walken needs a running mate?
The Henry Rollins Award for Supreme Threatiness
Over at the intelligent design blog Telic Thoughts, the authors offer a Henry Rollins Award for Supreme Threatiness. What is threatiness you ask? According to their blog, threatiness is “when you perceive something to be a threat, without having to justify this by evidence and arguments.” Kind of like Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, I guess. The award is explained as follows:
“Sometimes, when browsing the blogosphere, you come across statements so hysterical and divorced from anything mildly resembling reality that you can do nothing but collapse over your keyboard with laughter. I’ve decided to honor these fine pieces of punditry with a prestigious award, named after Henry Rollins, a very angry man convinced that “the new Dark Ages are upon us!”
Apparently when Telic Thoughts come across these statements so hysterical and divorced from anything mildly resembling reality they’re not talking about content from their own blog.
Telic Thoughts took issue with this rant by Rollins against intelligent design. To Henry they pose the question: If you believe intelligent design is nothing but a fundamentalist plot to bring back the Dark Ages, what’s the chance that you’ll be able to be evaluate the issue objectively?
Objectively? The problem with that question of course is that this issue can not be evaluated objectively. Intelligent design is not observable or measurable, and thus belongs in the realm of theology or theological scientific philosophy, not science.

Hello Ladies!
Hating Henry
A lot of people love to hate Henry. Lois Maffeo is one of them. Mistaking the myths for the man, she wrote about her hatred for Henry it in a factually inept article in the Seattle newspaper The Stranger, have a read.
