You read right, Henry Rollins doing his best sunken cheek Vanilla Ice impersonation in the video to Pop Goes The Weasel by 3rd Bass. Watch it to the end!
Following on from the Chixdiggit song about Henry Rollins we posted a little while ago, here’s a more recent effort by The Pinecones found on the you tubes by our good friends at Rollins Causes
Chorus: I am Henry Rollins, I’m in the Rollins Band, I am Henry Rollins, Used to be Black Flag. Verse: I’m angry all the time I do spoken word, I eat children for breakfast Oh, yeah.
You might remember this post from a couple of months ago, a transcript of Henry’s diatribe against England’s daftest son, Morrissey, while hosting the Australian music video program Rage many many years ago. Well, now here’s the video! (Set up: He’s explaining why he picked the video ‘November Spawned a Monster’)
.. titled ‘Henry Rollins on the toilet’.
Years ago Henry had a cat named Kato. This cute little furball even had a mention on the 2.13.61 website as an honorary member of staff. Below is an excerpt from an interview with Maynard (Tool) and Henry where Kato makes an appearance:
(Henry’s cat saunters in.)
RIP: Oh, a kitty. What’s his name?
HR: Kato. He was given to me by my management. They kind of just dumped him on my lap and said, “Merry Christmas and happy birthday combined.” he was like this big (makes a kitten-size measurement),and I was going, “Vet Bills. Cat pans. Hair. I don’t want you!” and I put him on the floor. And like a day later, I’m, oh, petting him and like two weeks later, “Oh, awww –”
MK: Like wandering around going, “Oh I bought him some booties!”
HR: Yeah, now I’ve got cat toys all over the place, pictures of him everywhere. I’ve got pictures of him in my backpack and I’m somewhere and I’ll like pull out the picture of the cat. “What are you looking at?” “The cat.” People come up, and all these girls go,”Awww –”
MK: Like hearing my grandmother, talk to her dog that way — “Ooo– puppy!” and I said I’d never do that, ever! And now I have two dogs and I talk like an imbecile! I wander around, “Ooo! You want food!” I’ve turned into a fucking moron.

In the following video that features a piece on the release of Get In The Van, at about 3mins in you can catch a glimpse of Henry and his four legged friend at 2.13.61 HQ.
You’re probably familiar with the phrase Jump the Shark, but for those who aren’t:
“It’s a moment. A defining moment when you know that your favorite television program has reached its peak. That instant that you know from now on…it’s all downhill. Some call it the climax. We call it “Jumping the Shark.” From that moment on, the program (or person) will simply never be the same. “
The phrase itself refers to the demise of Happy Days, when the Fronze actually jumped a shark. On a website dedicated to this phenomenon, Henry Rollins has been nominated for jumping the shark. Visitors are able to vote and provide their reasons why they think he has or has not jumped the shark. You know at HelloHenry.com we love to read idiots discussing the ins and outs of such important matters, why not join in on the fun!
Here’s an example of what you can expect:
“Henry Rollins was in Black Flag for about 10 minutes and we haven’t been able to forget it since. They weren’t even that good, they only had one good song (t.v. party). He didn’t get as famous as he wanted to be in “The Chase,” so he’s done everything he can to stay in the limelight and feed his ego. Watch any movie/tv show, he’s playing a cop in it… (except that one Drew Carey episode where he beat up people professionally). Now he’s on tv trying to convince everyone he was instrumental in the punk movement.”
